Oudeschild is home to the Texelse Bierbrouwerij. In the former dairy factory, unique special beers are made from natural raw materials. Beers with a special story and a distinctive flavour. Their most famous award-winning beer is Texels Skuumkoppe. Of course, you can order a drink yourself during a well-earned break during your cycle tour of the island, but you can also make reservations for a Texel experience, which includes all the information you need about the brewery and a tasting of the delicious beers!

Discover everything about ‘Texels’
In the tasting room at de Texelse Bierbrouwerij you will be warmly welcomed by one of the guides, who will then take you into the world of the brewery. You will learn everything about the history of the company, the assortment of 'Texels' and how the production proceeds. You will see a film about all the steps of brewing beer. In order to process all the information, it's time to start tasting! You will get four 'Texels' beers with authentic Texel snacks.

One with nature
Texel is known for having the most hours of sunshine in the Netherlands. Wheat and barley, two important ingredients for making beer, grow into thick grains as a result. Texel sheep also benefit from the beer brewed on Texel. The sheep are treated with 'bostel', the residual product of the malt that remains after brewing.
