If you want to camp on Texel, you have a choice of locations on the island. You can stay in Den Hoorn at Camping Loodsmansduin, in De Koog at Camping Kogerstrand or Camping De Shelter, and in De Cocksdorp at Camping De Krim. Each campsite offers you a unique experience, each with its own character.
Yes, all campsites are equipped with modern and heated sanitary facilities spread throughout the site. You will find toilets, showers, washbasins, and specially equipped baby washrooms, all with free hot water.
All campsites have electricity available on the pitches, depending on your pitch. It is wise to check this when booking. Some pitches offer 10 amps, while others are equipped with 16 amps.
Depending on which campsite you stay at, there are various facilities for children. Every campsite offers a playground, but some campsites go further with a recreation room, indoor play paradise, recreation team or outdoor swimming pool. At Campsite De Krim you will also find additional facilities such as bowling alleys, an indoor miniature golf course, a laser game hall, and both an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool.
It is highly recommended to book in advance, especially during the high season (summer months), when Texel is a popular destination. These campsites attract many visitors because of their excellent facilities and beautiful locations, so they are quickly fully booked. To avoid disappointment, it is wise to reserve your spot well in advance.
Texel is a great destination for camping all year round. Most visitors choose spring and summer because of the pleasant weather, but autumn is also beautiful for nature lovers. It is also possible to camp in the winter at Campsite De Krim.
We recommend using wooden pegs on a campsite on Texel, they have better grip on looser ground thanks to their diagonal design. Don't have these? No problem, you can book them during the booking process. You can also buy them at reception.
A renovated outdoor swimming pool is available at Campsite Loodsmansduin. At Campsite De Krim you will find an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with various spectacular attractions. At Campsite Kogerstrand and Campsite De Shelter there are no swimming pools.
Campsite De Krim and Campsite Loodsmansduin are about 2,500 metres from the beach. About 900 metres from the beach you will find Campsite De Shelter. For the real beach lovers, there is Campsite Kogerstrand, situated directly on the beach.
You need a motorhome pitch on Texel, there are no public (free) motorhome sites here. You can reserve special motorhome pitches at our campsites. Only at Campsite De Shelter in De Koog can you park your motorhome on a camping pitch.
