On the way
My car has not been through the car wash in a while and it shows! Due to driving back and forth on Texel, my car is covered in sand (both inside and outside). That's why a visit to Carwash Texel came at exactly the right time.
Carwash
You can choose from four different programmes at Carwash Texel: bronze, silver, gold and diamond. My car could do with a good clean, so I chose programme diamond. First, the car was cleaned with a high-pressure pre-wash and all-purpose cleaner, then I was allowed to drive through and the programme started. The car is washed as you are used to; soap, polish, wax and dry. Car washing becomes a special experience due to different lights that provide a fun effect during the programme.
After the programme, which takes about 5 minutes, you can continue driving as soon as the light turns green.
Wash boxes
Besides the car wash, Carwash Texel also has wash boxes. Here you have all the space you need to wash your vehicle. To use the wash boxes, you can pay with notes and coins, but also with a debit card. Then you can choose which wash programme you want to use. There are five different programmes. The colours on the screen correspond to the colours on the hoses.
Coming with a caravan or camper van? Then you can also come to Carwash Texel. Near the vacuum square they have a box that is long and high enough to also wash your caravan or camper.
Vacuum square
The sand on the inside of the car has also been thought of. In fact, after the car wash or washing in the wash box, you can drive to the vacuum square. The square has two hoovers and a tyre pump system. Again, you can pay here with notes and coins, but also with a debit card.
There is also a mat cleaner for car mats, which is ideal! You run your mats through it twice and they are completely clean again. So you don't take the Texel sand home with you 😉
Wash pass
Do you visit Texel regularly? Then you might be interested in the wash pass. This pass gives you credit which you can use to pay for all facilities. The wash pass gives you discounts on washing programmes and exempts you from paying for vacuum cleaning. You can apply for, upgrade and manage the laundry pass yourself free of charge.
