Directions:
Once you have arrived on Texel, leave the ferry port, following the signs for Den Burg. Go straight across the first roundabout. At the second roundabout, turn right towards De Cocksdorp. After about 6km, turn right (at the roundabout) towards De Cocksdorp. After about 8km, turn right (side road 34). Hotel Molenbos is immediately on your right before you drive into the village.

Boat trip to Texel

The crossing takes about 20 minutes. It is neither possible nor necessary to reserve a place.

The (TESO) ferry runs every hour from 6:30 to 21:30 incl. from Den Helder. On Sundays and public holidays, the service starts one or two hours later, depending on the season. There is no advance booking.
On busy days, an extra ferry is in service to avoid or reduce waiting times. In this case, a ferry will sail from Den Helder to Texel and from Texel to Den Helder every half hour.

Parking and public transport on Texel

Throughout Texel, including the beaches, paid parking is applicable. You can pay per hour on the spot, but you can also easily buy a Texel E-vignet in advance. An interesting alternative for a longer stay on the island! For a week, for example, you pay € 20,-. Here you will find more information and you can purchase a Texel E-vignet.

Please note: The Texel e-vignette is not required for parking on the grounds of our parks, campsites or hotel.

With Texelhopper, you can travel to and from an impressive 130 pick-up points spread across the whole island. You will be travelling on the regular bus service (route 28) or by minibuses that run on a booking basis. Here you will find more information about public transport on Texel.
