Four friends from the Irish city of Kilkenny shared their passion for music, formed a band and rocked many a pub. Twelve years later, the band has raised its repertoire from pub spheres to a world level. The band has a large fan base in Europe and America and is now coming to Texel!
About The Kilkenny's
The Kilkenny's play traditional Irish music, but in a new guise, so that classic folk songs and ballads appeal to both the younger generation and the veteran music lovers. The songs are upbeat and joyful, as in their renditions of the classics 'The Spanish lady', 'Tell me ma' and 'Whisky in the jar'. With their energetic charisma, their fast instrumental rhythms and unadulterated Irish humour, they easily carry any audience along.
