De Krim Texel has been working towards sustainable operations for many years. After all, this is inseparable from our care for Texel. These efforts have resulted in Holiday Park De Krim receiving the Green Key Gold certificate for the campsite and all its own facilities and accommodation since 2022. Clearly visible, of course, are the solar panels on the roof of the game hall at the holiday park. But there is more. Below are some examples of the sustainable business operations at Holiday Park De Krim.
As at all our other parks, when building or renovating our accommodation and facilities, Vakantiepark De Krim pays close attention to insulation, sustainable materials and smart technology to save energy.
In recent years, many energy-saving measures in areas such as water, lighting, heating and cleaning have been implemented behind the scenes.

"Companies with Green Key certification are doing much more in terms of sustainability than the law requires"
Green Key Netherlands
Sustainability is very important at De Krim Holiday Park. I am especially proud that we managed to fit solar panels on the roof of the game hall. This allows us to generate electricity sustainably.

Park manager at Holiday Park De Krim
The Green Key is an international seal of approval for businesses in the leisure sector that make every effort to preserve the environment. The quality mark is awarded in Bronze, Silver or Gold. Holiday Park De Krim has been awarded the highest rating: Gold for the campsite and all its own facilities and accommodation.
In the coming years, De Krim Texel will continue its efforts to further reduce its environmental impact at Holiday Park De Krim. The Certificate Green Key 2024 (pdf-NL) will help in this respect as the standards are tightened every three years. Read more about De Krim Texel's sustainable policy.
